Lane Bryant, the plus sized women’s clothing shop offers the Cacique brand of intimates and other clothing that is designed to keep women looking and feeling beautiful no matter what. Cacique is now extending into the skin and body care market with Caciquebody.

Caciquebody is a line of fragranced products including body butter, body wash, a hydrating mist, and body lotion. The fragranced products will come in the following scents – pinkberry, waterblossom, nightbloom, and citrusfresh.

There will also be a line of skincare products including an anti-chafing cream, a shimmering body lotion, and a revitalizing leg cream. The leg cream will include the incredibly versatile tea tree oil we love so much here, together with Arabica coffee seed oil, and water mint. It is set to sell for $22 per 6.7 oz bottle.

Tee trea oil continues to step into main stream products and show what a wonderful topical agent it can be for revitalization, and of course it’s antiseptic properties as well. I hope to get hold of some of the tea tree oil leg cream, called “Revive & Kicking” as soon as possible for a detailed review, and also to soothe these tired legs.

The tea tree oil shampoo put out by Jason is widely available at Whole Foods, among other pharmacies and supermarkets. It is comparable to Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Tea Tree Oil Shampoo in many ways, although it tends to be a bit more expensive.

Jason’s entry into the tea tree hair care marketplace has one very large advantage of Trader Joe’s for many families. Because it does not use mint oil along with the tea tree oil, this particular shampoo has a more natural tea tree smell than many of the other products.

Jason Tea Tree Scalp Normalizing shampoo does not mix mint oil into the shampoo and so kids who are a little sensitive to the smell and feel of mint oil on their scalps will like this shampoo. It has a very clean green smell to it, and rinses cleanly.

I enjoy the tea tree oil shampoos mixed with mint for the refreshing feel, but Jason’s tea tree shampoo feels very natural and good going on and rinsing off so I can highly recommend it.

We sometimes buy Jason tea tree shampoo and other products at Whole Foods but it can also be found in several other shops as well as online at Amazon (JASON Natural Cosmetics Shampoo, Tea Tree Oil Hair & Scalp Therapy – 17.5 fl oz) and other shops for a reasonable price.

One of the most common and price effective uses of tea tree oil is as a foot spray. Foot fungus is a very common problem and symptoms can range from simple itchiness and burning to blisters, skin peeling and scaliness to nail discoloration and separation (also known as onchomycosis).

Tea tree oil has long been used to treat skin maladies, and has anti-fungal properties in addition to its other virtues. Some studies have shown marked improvements in patients with athlete’s foot who used tea tree oil solutions. There was reportedly significant improvement over groups using a placebo.

Studies are still being done, however both the medical community and history seems to indicate that it may be worth trying a tea tree oil foot spray as a natural, organic way to relieve foot fungus.

If you decide to mix your own, there are plenty of recipes available. Most call for a mix of warm water, come kind of vinegar, and at least one other essential oil. Peppermint is often used in conjunction with tea tree oil. Prepared tea tree oil foot sprays can also easily be found and bought for a reasonable price.

This is a good soap, and not too expensive. I bought the bar I reviewed for this article at Whole Foods for about $3.49. It’s not the cheapest bar of soap on the rack, but if you want a nice organic soap complete with the clean green smell of tea tree oil, this is a nice soap to use.

I feel that it washes off clean, smells good, and has a nice solidity to it. It’s not as soft as some other organic soaps I’ve used, doesn’t get mushy in hot water, and so doesn’t get used up too quickly.

If I added anything negative about this particular soap, it would be that it doesn’t really stand out. It’s not a bar of soap that I feel I need to keep a stock of in the house, although I will definitely buy it again in the future.

The list of ingredients follows:

Saponified Organic Coconut*

Organic Palm & Organic Olive* Oils (w/ Retained Glycerin)

Water

Organic Hemp Oil

Organic Jojoba Oil

Tea Tree Extract

Salt

Citric Acid

Vitamin E

(Ingredients marked with an asterisk are “certified fair trade ingredients”.)

As you can see from the ingredients, the presence of tea tree oil comes from the tea tree extract, which is also one of the last ingredients in the list. The soap does have a tea tree oil smell to it.

I’m looking forward to trying a soap with a little bit more tea tree oil in it.

It’s called Tea Tree Tingle and lives up to its name… thanks to the addition of peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, and other natural oils. I’ll provide a full list of ingredients below after the review.

If you are looking for a shampoo with that natural, green, unique tea tree oil smell, this may not be the shampoo for you. Even though tea tree oil comes higher in the list of ingredients, the peppermint oil and eucalyptus oil dominate the smell. This is not a bad thing, but if you are looking for something a little more purely tea tree oil, I recommend the Jason organic Tea Tree Oil shampoo which costs a little more but is may be a more traditional type of tea tree oil shampoo.

Tea tree oil products have been gradually increasing in variety and number for the past few years. As more uses are found, new groups of people to which tea tree oil can be a benefit are being found. As products increase, more and more people are learning about tea tree oil products through word of mouth, store displays, and the introduction of new products in established brands.

Tea tree oil has been noted as a good treatment for lice, dandruff, and dry hair. The oil itself, when diluted can be useful in the treatment of a variety of scalp maladies. Now shampoo with tea tree oil in it is widely available. It remains to be seen if tea tree oil has the same effects when diluted in a shampoo as when it is diluted in a more simple form. There are plenty of brands of shampoo that offer tea tree oil shampoo products these days.

The best reasons to try shampoo made with tea tree oil are to get the anti-bacterial benefits of it, or to treat dandruff or other scalp problems. While I think it’s reasonable to pay a little more for brands of shampoo that you trust and know, there’s no reason not to be frugal about it at the same time.

If you are looking for a place to buy tea tree oil, the first place you might think of are shops that specialize in organic products such as Whole Foods, Bath & Body Works, or other health and beauty shops in your local mall, however even with shipping costs, there are deals (and variety) to be had shopping online.

Amazon has tea tree oil shampoos for sale, and has the JASON brand which gets very good reviews for its entire natural cosmetics and shampoo line. (Jason shampoo can also be found at some Whole Foods, and some Acmes among other stores). It is definitely worth searching your favorite stores and check prices and brands while being mindful of the shipping costs. They can also be found online at walmart and target, although the selection is not as great as that found on amazon or online drugstores.

Organic shampoos can also easily be found at your local supermarket (especially supermarkets such as Wegmans which have a large organic foods section), however I’ve also seen good shampoos for reasonable prices. You can find them in your local Targets, Walmarts, CVS, and other drugstores for reasonable prices.

When you think of tea tree oil shampoo, you may think that they are too expensive to be affordable, but I’m sure that with a little shopping around you can find an affordable way to enjoy the benefits of tea tree oil has for the hair and scalp.

I will mention some of the interesting points of a medical study of tea tree oil done at the University of Western Australia in 2006. It was a very comprehensive study and provides a lot of useful and general information about tea tree oil and its properties.

The study talks about the anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties of tea tree oil. They also write about the method by which tea tree oil breaks down fungi, some microbes, and prevents swelling.

Tea tree oil has been shown in this study and others to be an extremely effective anti-bacterial agent, with demonstrated effectiveness in concentrations of less than 1% for many bacteria, and further effectiveness against such bacteria as commensal skin staphylococci and micrococci when the concentration is increased.

The UWA study shows that it can also be effective as an anti-fungal treatment by increasing the permeability of the fungus cells. Other mechanisms come into play, some of which indicate that tea tree oil may also have some preventative properties, and postantifungal effects as well.

The study also indicates that the oil, also known as melaleuca alternifolia oil may have anti-viral and anti-protozoan qualities as well.

The researchers also call for there to be large-scale studies to further verify the efficacy of tea tree oil as a useful antiseptic with all of the properties described above.

The study can be read in its entirety here: Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Oil: A Review of Antimicrobial and Other Medicinal Properties.

I first heard about tea tree oil from my wife, who heard about it from her family in Japan where it is becoming more popular, and being used to treat acne and other skin problems, for aromatherapy, in baths, and a myriad of other uses.

The first thing I did is confuse tea oil with tea tree oil, so the first thing I want to do is discuss the difference between tea oil and tea tree oil.

To put it simply, they are completely different things made from completely different plants. The only thing similar is the name, and maybe the appearance.

Tea tree oil, the main subject of this blog, comes from the melaleuca alternifolia tree which is a native of Australia. The tree is called the narrow-leaved paperbark, snow in summer, the narrow-leaved tea tree. The leaves (about 1mm in width) can be distilled to produce tea tree oil.

Tea oil, on the other hand, is made from the seeds of the tea plant or the tea oil plant. the tea plant in this case indeed refers to the plant that provides the tea we drink. Also known as tea seed oil, tea oil can be used for cooking or salads, and is somewhat similar to grape oil or olive oil. Japanese tea oil is used in Sumo wrestler’s hair.

One reason that it is important to note the difference between tea tree oil and tea oil is that tea tree oil can be toxic in large or concentrated doses. However it has highly touted antibacterial and anti-fungal uses, as well as increasing use as an aroma oil.

Although tea seed oil, also known as tea oil is a very healthy, edible oil for use in cooking and in salads, tea tree oil is also very healthy but should not be taken internally. It has several uses, but is also toxic with a long list of side effects that occur if it is ingested.
